Tasso A/SFrederiksgade 37, 5000 Odense C, DenmarkTasso supplies continuous cast-iron bars and semi-machined components in grey, ductile and special grades. Buyers can source round, square, rectangular and agreed special profiles, with cutting, milling, turning, peeling and heat-treatment options. Material selection, traceability and order-specific inspection documents support applications in hydraulics, pumps, compressors, glass moulds, machine tools and industrial equipment.
On 24 July 2026 Tasso announced its decision to discontinue its own cast-iron bar production in Odense and focus on sales, purchasing, warehousing and machining. The exact cessation timetable and post-transition heat-treatment provider and location remain unresolved.
Founded in Odense in 1856 and part of BIRN since 1976, Tasso acquired the Italian stockist and machinist Bernareggi in 2021. Sourcing uses group companies and external suppliers.
Supply documentation can include EN 10204:2004 types 2.2 and 3.1 requested at order, with actual batch-linked results for 3.1. Grade properties depend on section and mid-radius test location; hardness values are informative. Milling and turning cover lengths up to 3 m, peeling 35–110 mm diameters, and stress relieving 500–650 °C with treatment provider and conditions agreed after the operating-model transition.
