Bureau Veritas copper-alloy material approval
Bureau Veritas 23358/C0 BV; Frese Metal & Stålstøberi A/S, Slagelse. Copper-nickel-aluminium sand castings, typical CC333G to EN 1982, as cast, up to 1,200 kg; induction melted. Marine materials/welding rules apply and product certificates are required. Issued 21 September 2021; expiry 21 September 2026. Renewal beyond 21 September 2026 is not established.
Bureau Veritas Mode II recognition
Bureau Veritas SMS.W.II./28817/B.0; Frese Metal & Stålstøberi A/S, Slagelse. NR320 facilities/quality recognition for copper-nickel-aluminium castings. Issued 17 March 2025; expiry 17 March 2029. Material approval 23358/C0 must remain valid; individual/batch product certification and periodic audits required.
AVK
Supplied specialised castings to AVK for more than 20 years before AVK acquired the foundry in May 2025. The acquisition announcement identifies AVK as the foundry’s largest customer.
Frese Metal- og Stålstøberi in Slagelse supplies complex sand castings in nickel-aluminium bronze, bronze/gunmetal, stainless steel and duplex steel. Typical components include pump casings and impellers, valve bodies, propulsion parts, firefighting components and heat-exchanger parts for corrosive operating environments. The foundry offers joint development, casting simulation, patterns, sand-printed prototypes, machining and agreed testing. The foundry was acquired by AVK in May 2025, separately from the valve business sold to Vexve.
