View sourceConditionAlert collects component-condition data and provides warnings, reports and maintenance recommendations to support service planning. It complements the machine’s agreed maintenance programme.
A field gateway and ALIoT provide operating history and alarms for connected decanters. Service experts use the data to guide troubleshooting and maintenance in individual remote sessions.
Equipment assessment and corrective work for agreed compliance requirements.
Alfa Laval supports setup, commissioning and startup of supplied process equipment through the appropriate service organisation. Project scope and local attendance are arranged with Danish sales/service contacts.
Assessment-led changes adapt existing process or marine equipment to new operating needs, including components, controls, retrofit or replacement where continued maintenance is unsuitable.
Service-centre work can include gasket removal, chemical and water-jet cleaning, crack detection, regasketing, pressure testing and a condition report. Alfa Laval and other-brand gasketed units are included in the documented service scope.
Specialists assess fouling and select chemicals, temperature and cleaning duration, connect cleaning equipment, circulate and flush the unit, then hand it back without opening the plate pack. Suitability is checked for the exchanger and materials.
Equipment condition, operating history, criticality and serviceability inform recommended activities, spare-parts strategy and follow-up checkpoints, supporting planned shutdowns and routine operation.
Engineers evaluate heat load from temperature and flow measurements or existing operating data, compare thermal performance and provide a service recommendation. The documented offering includes Alfa Laval and other-brand plate heat exchangers.
Performance Monitoring Premium collects operating data through sensors and a gateway into ALIoT. Authorised users view performance and experts provide remote maintenance recommendations.
Thermal assessment supports revised plate area and frame components when operating conditions change. Where replacement is appropriate, support can include sizing, adaptor drawings, retrofit feet, recycling and commissioning.
Thermal imaging and visual/digital inspection assess operating gasketed plate heat exchangers. A report identifies condition issues and prioritises maintenance; the unit must be operating for thermal images.
Aalborg boiler specialists support equipment upkeep and optimisation, with digital connectivity options for operating insight. Danish marine enquiries are routed through Nordic sales and the marine service network.
Nakskov specialists collaborate on membrane selection, trials and process optimisation. Laboratory and pilot equipment can be purchased, rented or used at application centres, with configuration and operating conditions matched to the selected membrane.
Specialists diagnose equipment and process problems, using operating information and remote video guidance where suitable, with on-site service arranged when needed.
Nordic Academy provides technical courses and webinars, plus customer-specific instruction for operating and maintaining new or existing equipment. Delivery can be on site or remote.
Preventive maintenance, condition-based service and repairs support operating equipment. Decanter services include audits, troubleshooting, planned maintenance, service kits and upgrades matched to the installed machine.
Engineering and delivery of integrated food and separation systems.
Test-centre and on-site rental trials help assess separation performance before scale-up. The existing Søborg decanter Test & Innovation Center supports development and optimisation in a controlled environment.
COMET
A membrane system designed and produced in Nakskov isolates and purifies wheat-straw dietary fibres at COMET’s Kalundborg plant. Alfa Laval also supplied monitoring; the installation was announced in October 2023.
Acelen Renewables
Søborg laboratory testing and oil/fat pretreatment engineering support the group’s September2026 contract for Acelen’s Bahia refinery, using heat exchangers, separators and engineered components. Plant operation is expected in 2029; the awarded project is still in development.
ISO 9001:2015
DNV certificate C547598, issued 9 January 2024 and valid 10 January 2024–9 January 2027, covers the Copenhagen management system at Maskinvej 3–5, Søborg. The appendix identifies energy separation, decanters, gasketed plate heat exchangers, decanter R&D and food systems, with design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing and delivery activities as specified. It does not certify every Danish Alfa Laval entity.
ISO 9001:2015
Alfa Laval Nordic A/S quality-management system. The official page names both DNV and Bureau Veritas, so the issuer is unresolved.
Good Manufacturing Practice
Alfa Laval Nakskov follows GMP for flat-sheet and spiral membrane production.
Alfa Laval serves Danish buyers with heat-transfer, separation and fluid-handling equipment, integrated process systems, spare parts and lifecycle services. Alfa Laval Nordic handles Danish commercial enquiries through the regional service organisation. The country’s separate competence and production companies include Copenhagen for process-system and separation expertise, Kolding for hygienic pumps, valves and tank-cleaning equipment, Nakskov for membranes and filtration systems, and Aalborg for marine and industrial thermal equipment. The offering ranges from individual components to application trials and engineered systems, followed by commissioning, maintenance, training, connected monitoring and upgrades.
