Alkaline water jets remove grease, oil and other contamination. Degreasing accepts parts up to 8000 × 2350 × 2500 mm (length × height × width). The subsequent single-stage zirconium/titanium conversion process forms a ceramic layer and ends with a demineralised-water rinse. The seller calls this step phosphating, although its stated chemistry is zirconium/titanium based.
