QRS serviced an existing KUKA KR20 and rebuilt a worm-shaft press cell with a gripper, two-sided table and key-presence sensor. Assembly tolerance is ±0.05 mm for this installation.

The 2022 cell uses a 70 kg KUKA robot to serve Mazak CV5-500 and VCN-430A machines, with three gripper types and flexible loading routes. Earlier installations date to 2015 and 2018.

QRS and Masentia supplied a 120 kg KUKA on an 11 m rail serving a Nakamura JX-250. The cell handles three component types with 20 grippers, 16 tools and 80 jaw sets.

Robot handling connects two Kardex stores with QR identification, database-linked stock control and marking. Storage capacity exceeds 1000 components for this particular installation.

A KUKA KMP 1500 with QRS drawer extraction transports threaded-spindle drawers to assembly and tracks material positions. The brochure describes approximately 40 tonnes of spindles moved per day.

A magnet feeds castings from pallet bins to vision-based orientation checking and robotic onward handling. Rejected orientations return to the bin.

Demonstrated at Mazak in Middelfart with a CV5-500 mill, servo gripper, automated part turning and an operator interface.

An unnamed installation combines CNC tending, steel-brush deburring with wear compensation, and packing with interlayers. Two loading drawers permit replenishment while the cell operates.

An unnamed customer station checks component holes using QR identification, cameras and XYZ motion. At publication it was manually loaded and prepared for later automation.

SmartZell T70 with a KUKA KR70 and Schunk three-jaw double gripper handles raw and finished parts at a DMG CNC machine, blows off coolant and stacks finished parts in layers on a trolley.

A KUKA KR120 connects the Matsuura MAM72-35V with Kardex Remstar storage, vice clamping, ultrasonic washing, vacuum drying and an inspection station.

A 70 kg KUKA robot with servo gripper serves a Matsuura MAM72-35V supplied by Masentia. Integrated vice opening and closing, an alignment station, vice storage and a variable-pallet loading table support unmanned operation, with space for up to 100 workpieces depending on size.

A 70 kg KUKA robot with a three-jaw double gripper serves a Mazak I-200 multitasking machine from separate raw-material and finished-part trolleys. The installation handles round parts approximately Ø40–200 mm and stacks suitable parts in layers; the HMI supports introduction of new parts in under five minutes.

A 210 kg KUKA robot uses a vacuum gripper, stack separator, turning and alignment station and pallet conveyors to serve a HOMAG machine. The installation handles about one million kitchen fronts per year, with formats ranging from drawer fronts to tall-cabinet doors.

A SmartZell M20 with servo gripper and scanner safeguarding was demonstrated at the HI exhibition in Herning. The setup showed operator access and HMI-based changeover; it is an exhibition demonstration.

The first cell tends both spindles of a Mazak Integrex 200 IV; two later cells serve Mazak HQR200MSY machines using pallet scanning, alignment, regripping and light-curtain access. In the customer account, robot-equipped machines exceeded 90% spindle utilization on good days, and one department achieved 2.6 machine-hours per labour-hour; these results concern the customer’s operating conditions.

A 120 kg KUKA robot serves a Matsuura MAM72-35V and Kardex Remstar storage in an installation supplied with Masentia. Vice clamping, gripper exchange and part turning support machining both sides, followed by ultrasonic washing, vacuum drying and return to storage.

A showcase developed with Mazak Danmark combines a Variaxis i-600 with automated exchange of workpieces on passive pallets at QRS in Vissenbjerg. It demonstrates automation of a machine without an automation-preparation package; it is not a customer installation.

A SmartZell cell built around a KUKA T20 robot serves a Brother M140X2 milling machine. IMAS selected the combined machine and robot installation to expand automated production.

An installed cell uses a 250 kg KUKA robot on an 8 m rail to serve two CNC machines and handle tabletops from 400 × 400 to 1,200 × 2,400 mm. Barcode-linked processing data, vision position correction and screw depth and torque feedback control insertion of threaded bushes, with positioning described as a few tenths of a millimetre.

A KUKA KR70 and Schunk pneumatic three-jaw gripper handle parts between wash baskets and plastic boxes on four sequenced Flexitech roller conveyors with SEW motor rollers. Technifor laser marking is checked by camera; sensors monitor box positions and indicate when operator intervention is needed. The demonstration omits the guarding supplied with the cell.

Two machining cells, a washing cell and a packing cell are connected by conveyors and operated by four robots with QRS touch-screen interfaces. The system is designed for 11 part types and up to 500,000 parts annually across day, evening and night operation; the annual figure is intended capacity.

Six robot cells form an integrated system for 81 part types, with Roboception locating loose parts in boxes and QRS HMI selection of jobs. Laser marking supports traceability; intended annual throughput exceeds 250,000 parts, rather than a measured production result.

A 120 kg KUKA robot on a 6 m rail serves two CNC machines with storage for 25 pallets and 60 additional tools. An operator loads raw parts and tools at the loading station; the robot stores them and changes pallets and tools to support extended unmanned machining of hydraulic components.

A 90 kg KUKA robot with pallet gripper moves raw and finished work between a loading station, pallet racks and a Matsuura VX-1000. A QRS interface on the KUKA smartPAD selects jobs, and a light barrier provides operator access through the cell guarding.
